Stand Up & Rock ft. Bev Bevan : The Sands Centre, Carlisle, U.K. - 15th November 2015
After a manic day starting off in Krakow, Poland, via a flight to Edinburgh, then 2.5 hour drive back to Carlisle, we arrived at The Sands Centre with only 3 minutes to spare! But it was worth it.
Stand Up & Rock arrived at the Sands Centre, Carlisle on Sunday night. This comedy and music extravaganza was performed to a 2,000 sell-out crowd. Jasper Carrott was on fine form throughout. The music was performed by Bev Bevan on drums, Tony Kelsey, Phil Tree, Abby Brant, Joy Strachan-Brain and Geoff Turton.
The encore had everybody up on stage to Electric Light Orchestra songs 'Mr Blue Sly' and 'Don't Bring Me Down'.

The Orchestra : Rewind Scotland Festival, Scone Palace, Perth, Scotland - 25th July 2015
We had a fantastic day at the annual Rewind Scotland 80's Festival at Scone Palace, Perth, Scotland. The Saturday line-up featured From The Jam, Kid Creole, Howard Jones, Wang Chung, Leee John of Imagination, Claire Grogan of Altered Images, Hugh Cornwell, Five Star, Jimmy Somerville, Bananarama, Tom Bailey of the Thompson Twins and best of all The Orchestra :-)
The weather was glorious to start with but there was a torrential rain and hail storm during Howard Jones' set which flooded the whole area. Thankfully the rain eased for when The Orchestra took to the stage for their superb set which included Evil Woman, Shine A Little Love, Telephone Line, Turn To Stone, Xanadu, Mr Blue Sky and Don't Bring Me Down.
The rain returned later in the afternoon but it still did not stop our enjoyment.

Kelly Groucutt Blue Plaque Ceremony : Coseley, Wolverhampton, U.K. - 29th March 2015
What a fantastic day we all had at the Kelly Groucutt Blue Plaque unveiling day. Put together over the past year by the Groucutt family and funded by friends, family and fans via Kickstarter campaign, today was the day that the blue plaque was unveiled on the former Groucutt family home in Coseley. A presentation was held in the Memorial Hall by family members, friends and the Mayoress. The plaque unveiling followed in blustery conditions, and just as the mayoress unveiled the plaque, out came the sun :-)

Phil Bates : The Marina, Liverpool, U.K. - 12th March 2015
A welcome return to The Marina in Liverpool for Phil for one of his rare U.K. solo shows.
It has been 4 years since his last appearance here, but what a great sizeable audience were there to enjoy the show. Almost two hours of acoustic music with some of Phil's own self-penned songs including a new one, '21st Century Blues', re-workings of classic hits such as the Rolling Stones 'This Could Be The Last Time' and The Kinks 'Waterloo Sunset' plus blues songs by JJ Cale, Ry Cooder, Carlos Santana and lots more, all rounded off with an Electric Light Orchestra encore of 'Evil Woman'.
A really great concert thoroughly enjoyed by all who were there.
Check out the great review of the gig by Lionel Ross for 'Blues In The North West' - Review.
