The Orchestra : Kulttuuritalo (Hall Of Culture), Helsinki, Finland - 13th December 2019
The Orchestra line-up : Lou Clark Jnr, Mik Kaminski, Louis Clark, Eric Troyer, Gordon Townsend, Parthenon Huxley and Glen Burtnik.
What a fantastic trip we had to Helsinki and Tampere, Finland this week. We based ourselves in Helsinki for a couple of days, doing some sightseeing and wandering around the Christmas markets prior to the fantastic concert by The Orchestra at the stunning Hall Of Culture. The band performed a brilliant 100 minute set in front of an appreciative crowd, and we really enjoyed the show viewed from the front row. The following two days we spent in Tampere which is 300km further north for sightseeing and a look around the brilliant Christmas markets and the ice sculptures.
Nice review and photos from the show can be found here - https://www.impe.fi/articles/1/2890.

Phil Bates : The Feathers, Ruthin, Wales - 14th November 2019
A fantastic evenings entertainment at the Ruthin All-Styles Music clubs sold-out Showcase event featuring headline act Phil Bates held at The Feathers in Ruthin.
It was a great evening which started off with solo spots for some local acts before Phil took to the stage for his first solo gig for some time. Phil performed a real variety of tracks from his own back-catalogue, blues tracks, classic songs by Tom Waits, Paul McCartney and Peter Green plus a couple of new songs and amusing songs which had the audience in fits of laughter.
Check out the great review of the gig by Chris Birchall - Review.

The Orchestra : Retro Festival, Lucerne, Switzerland - 13th March 2019
The Orchestra line-up : Lou Clark Jnr, Mik Kaminski, Louis Clark, Eric Troyer, Gordon Townsend, Parthenon Huxley and Glen Burtnik.
What a fantastic trip we had to Zurich and Lucerne, Switzerland this week. We travelled from Zurich to the stunning city of Lucerne where The Orchestra would be the main artist on the opening night of the 2019 Retro Festival held in the amazing 5-star Hotel Schweizerhof overlooking the beautiful Lake Lucerne. The band performed a brilliant 90 minute set in front of an appreciative crowd, and there was also a bonus 30 minute interview after the show with Glen, Eric, Mik and Hux compered by Phil Dankner, which was very entertaining.
Check out my Youtube Channel to watch my videos of 'Mr Blue Sky', 'Xanadu', 'Evil Woman', 'All Over The World', 'Can't Get It Out Of My Head' and 'Don't Bring Me Down' performed live at the concert. I have also uploaded a clip of Glen Burtnik & Phil Dankner performing ''Sometimes Love Just Ain't Enough' during the interview session.
